BIFMA sponsors the development and maintenance of furniture safety and durability standards. Until recently, there hasn’t been a formalized mechanism for customers to know if the furniture products they are specifying and/or purchasing have been tested to these standards. In the first quarter of 2021, BIFMA launched BIFMA Compliant, which is a product registry that brings together standards and conformance. The intent of BIFMA Compliant is to enable customers to reliably identify products that comply with relevant BIFMA safety and durability standards. Although the BIFMA G1-2013 Ergonomics Guideline is not included in the registry at this time, conformity assessments to the dimensions and adjustment ranges are included in the BIFMA Product Conformance Requirements. Join us to learn about this exciting new resource that is designed to help you identify products that meet established industry standards!
