The Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE) is a bilingual, professional association of individuals and organizations with a common interest in advancing ergonomics and human factors knowledge and practice.

ABOUT US

History & Structure

The Association of Canadian Ergonomists/Association Canadienne d’Ergonomie (ACE), established in 1968, is a bilingual, professional association with over 400 members comprised of individuals and organizations from coast to coast.

ACE has five Regions: Atlantic, Quebec, Ontario, Prairie & Northern, British Columbia / Yukon. The presidents of these Regions are also members of National Council.

International Ergonomics Association (IEA)

ACE is a member of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA). Connecting with other IEA member organizations such as Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES)(US) and Institute for Ergonomics and Human Factors (IEHF)(UK) allows ACE to be be a part of advancing the science and practice of ergonomics at an international level and enhancing the contribution of the ergonomics discipline to global society. Additionally, ACE get member rates at the International Ergonomics Association Conferences.

Get Certified

Being an ACE member does not mean that someone is a certified ergonomist. In Canada, the College for the Certification of Canadian Ergonomists (CCCPE) has a rigorous process that ensures professional competence consistent with the International Ergonomics Association (IEA). This national certification, CCPE, was

developed with the support of ACE to protect the public. Certification of Ergonomists helps users of ergonomics services identify those who have the necessary training and experience and ensures the quality of practice among CCPE ergonomists. ACE does not support other certifications unless they are consistent with the above and/or are supported by the IEA.

The Association of Canadian Ergonomists is the voice of ergonomics in Canada.
